Welcome to my monthly recommendations of what to eat, bake, watch, read and buy for September
For me the most notable aspect of September-
back to school and the end of the summer
So here's what to ...
WATCH
I love Netflix comedy CLOSE ENOUGH, a new season of BROOKLYN NINE-NINE shd be coming soon so look forward to that, I really enjoyed the return and final season of ATYPICAL last month and am also currently watching Spanish drama ELITE.
Once I'd finshed CLOSE ENOUGH I started watching INSIDE JOB a cartoon with a new funny and thrilling adventure of Raegan a scientist for the deepstate and her coworkers each episode.
I thought I shd update you on TV shows, thats all for now, will update this to its full length soon. Happy (binge) watching!
2. What to DO
I joined Fem Soc in my school (feminism society) and we are thinking about rasing money via a bake sale or otherwise for a charity to support women in Afghanistan. One such charity I found is called Action aid. Unfortunately, the Action Aid UK isn't on any charity checking websites, but the US version is on Guidestar and charity navigator, so I am assuming the UK one is just as credible. Anyway something to do is donate to or hold a fundrasier for this or a similar charity!
3. BAKE
Brookies! This fatastical hybrid of the two beloved baked goods gives you the best of both worlds. For someone who doesn't mind getting their hands messy with brownie batter and a sweet tooth. Mine came out good, just big and possibly too soft so make sure to make ping-pong ball size balls of dough and adjust the baking time for the desired texture (up to 18 mins). Here is the recipe I used. https://www.sprinklebakes.com/2021/01/brookie-cookies.html

4. READ
Look out for more book reviews
Happy Reading
