1. Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson

Part of a duology this is a humourous yet meaningful plot of 15-year-old Scarlet and her broke family stuck in her New York hotel for the summer. It starts off as a boring summer with both her hated and loved siblings takes some unexpected turns with the arrival of a lively, rich guest and a perfect actor. 'Before the summer is over, Scarlett will have to survive a whirlwind of thievery and romantic missteps. But in the city where anything can happen, she just might be able to pull it off.' I thought this was a great book that had me laughing out loud too and bing reading- I never wanted to check out! 13+ YA book, 5 stars. Themes of family, chaos, romance, and more.
