UPDATE- I have now read the next two books in the series which follow the same theme of trials and challenges. There also some very sad (and shocking) moments.
My blurb *- Thomas knows nothing but his name when the elevator doors slide open and he is taken to a society of boys trapped in a giant maze that they need to solve for their freedom. At first, everything is the same there but then the boys are forced to think differently when things rapidly change and odd secrets are uncovered. Why are they there, and who are they really?
This a thrilling page-turner of a book that I enjoyed thoroughly, always anxious to read the next plot twist. I have only recently read the first book but there are EIGHT books in the series all of which I am planning to read.
In three words- thrilling, adventure, challenge
Great book I recommend for all ages (a good read for long car journeys and pretty fast-paced) especially 8 or 9+
I am calling my short summary of the book my blurb*
The Maze Runner is now a 'Major Motion Picture' or movie and here is the maze depicted in the movie poster. It is followed by book 2 and 3's movies.
goodbye for now and happy reading
