Hi all, due to suggestions from various family and friends, I decided to record the unique experience I am having, living through lockdown due to the novel corona virus. It is hard to believe this whole thing started when one guy ate a bad bat. Firstly, I would like to share with you a poem a wrote about Lockdown that reflects my feelings during lockdown. Hope you enjoy
LOCKDOWN 2020
Schools shut before your eyes
Leaving us without a chance to say goodbye.
The smell of bleach, sharp and stinging
Softened by lavender, that’s what I’m smelling.
My idle mind is left alone
Conversation has to be by phone
“Wash your hands,” I hear all day
As I wonder if it will stay that way.
Gone is the company of my friends,
When and how will this strange slumber end?
Doors shut and windows slam
To stay that way for what could be months they say
Following timetables that cram
Activities but are better than watching TV all day
My phone is the gateway to see
Now virtually connected communities;
Shut in this world but oh I see,
What I love about the life of me
To walk outside amongst the trees
And feel happy to be free
Being with those whom I love
That’s what I take for granted in the life of me.

Lockdown is a bit boring but I have found activities to do from an email sent by school such as art, poetry and cooking. It is a bit weird always being at home and I'd love to see my friends again or have a sleepover. I know that I am very lucky I have lots of stuff at home and that I'm not ill. I try to go outside and do exercise every day. I also do PE with Joe on weekdays. Mainly, I am just waiting for things t go back to normal. For reference I a writing in early April. Every one is staying at home apart from short walks and we haven't reached the peak of corona virus yet. There are some food shortages at the supermarkets and long queues too. It would be almost impossible to find hand sanitiser right now. I am also writing this when Boris Johnson is in hospital but only for a day.

As per my mum's suggestion, I decided to create a collage of some of the changes to everyday life because of corona virus. Here it is.
Loving the poem!❤️
Love it
